Task Specification
The task specification of the Data Mining Cup 2002 consisted in the
analysis of anonymized customer data. Based on given data, a forecasting
model to optimize a direct mailing action should be created.
From April 2, 2002, the task specification was handed out to the
registered participants via e-mail.
Deadline for handing-in the results was May 6, 2002.
Subsequently, the handed-in results were evaluated by an expert jury.
The most successful participants will be awarded during the Data Mining
User Event Days 2002.
