World Champion DATA MINING CUP!

The this year's DATA MINING CUP Contest, finished on May 31, 2006, have reached the highest participant number in its own history and substantiates its status as the most successful IT students contest in the field of intelligent data analysis (Data Mining).

More than 570 students of 177 universities and 42 countries took part in the DMC Contest 2006, which is organized by prudsys AG and the Technical University Chemnitz annually.

The DMC Contest task 2006 consisted in developing a Data Mining model, which predicts for each new auction whether the actual sales revenue is higher than the average sales revenue of the product category.

189 results were submitted, which are judged by a jury at the moment.

Who counts to the best young data miner will be announced during the DMC User Event Days 2006 (June 27-29, 2006, Chemnitz/Germany).

The DATA MINING CUP User Event Days have evolved to the most important Data Mining conference in German speaking countries over the last few years. In various sessions divided in branches and topics, the conference participants learn about best practice solutions of established companies and their experiences and successes using data mining. International experts will speak about news and trends in the field of Data Mining and Analytical CRM.
