DATA MINING CUP 2019 - international student competition in data analysis

For the past 20 years students have been testing their data mining knowledge at the DATA MINING CUP (DMC for short). prudsys will announce the task for the 20th edition of the DMC on April 4, 2019. The task will focus on a practical problem from the field of retail.

Spring 2019 sees the arrival of a new round of the DATA MINING CUP. For the 20th time prudsys AG will announce a practical task from the field of intelligent data analytics. Participants have six weeks to demonstrate their knowledge in the field of machine learning. The best teams will present their solutions on July 3, 2019 in Berlin. The top 3 teams will receive attractive cash prizes. Last year, the best new data miners were students from ETH Zurich (1st and 3rd place) and the University of Mannheim (2nd place).

The DATA MINING CUP has been inspiring students from Germany and abroad for 20 years. Versatile, practical tasks have challenged students every year, e.g. the forecast of the shopping cart value, the prediction of returns or the redemption of coupons. Which task the participants can look forward to this year will be announced with the publication of the task on April 4, 2019.
